Off to work

A guy shows up late for work. The boss yells, ‘You should’ve been here at 8.30!’ He replies. ‘Why? What happened at 8.30?’

A genie and an idiotLaughing-Face-Meme.jpg

Three guys stranded on a desert island find a magic lantern containing a genie, who grants them each one wish. The first guy wishes he was off the island and back home. The second guy wishes the same. The third guy says: ‘I’m lonely. I wish my friends were back here.’

Ooo Heaven is a place on earth

Sid and Irv are business partners. They make a deal that whichever one dies first will contact the living one from the afterlife. So Irv dies. Sid doesn’t hear from him for about a year, figures there is no afterlife. Then one day he gets a call. It’s Irv. ‘So there is an afterlife! What’s it like?’ Sid asks. ‘Well, I sleep very late. I get up, have a big breakfast. Then I have sex, lots of sex. Then I go back to sleep, but I get up for lunch, have a big lunch. Have some more sex, take a nap. Huge dinner. More sex. Go to sleep and wake up the next day.’ ‘Oh, my God,’ says Sid. ‘So that’s what heaven is like?’ ‘Oh no,’ says Irv. ‘I’m not in heaven. I’m a bear in Yellowstone Park.’

True love lasts forevermeme face not really

It’s the World Cup Final, and a man makes his way to his seat right next to the pitch. He sits down, noticing that the seat next to him is empty. He leans over and asks his neighbour if someone will be sitting there. ‘No,’ says the neighbour. ‘The seat is empty.’ ‘This is incredible,’ said the man. ‘Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Final and not use it?’ The neighbour says, ‘Well actually the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first World Cup Final we haven’t been to together since we got married.’ ‘Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s terrible….But couldn’t you find someone else, a friend, relative or even a neighbour to take her seat?’ The man shakes his head. ‘No,’ he says. ‘They’re all at the funeral.’

The Devil’s in the details – This one z my favourite! 😉

A guy dies and is sent to hell. Satan meets him, shows him doors to three rooms, and says he must choose one to spend eternity in. In the first room, people are standing in dirt up to their necks. The guy says, ‘No, let me see the next room.’ In the second room, people are standing in dirt up to their noses. Guy says no again. Finally Satan opens the third room. People are standing with dirt up to their knees, drinking coffee and eating pastries. The guy says, ‘I pick this room.’ Satan says Ok and starts to leave, and the guy wades in and starts pouring some coffee. On the way out Satan yells, ‘OK, coffee break’s over. Everyone back on your heads!’

Kid vs barber

A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer. ‘This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it you.’ The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, ‘Which do you want, son?’ The boy takes the quarters and leaves. ‘What did I tell you?’ said the barber. ‘That kid never learns!’ Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store. ‘Hey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?’ The boy licked his cone and replied, ‘Because the day I take the dollar, the game is over!’

All in a night’s workLaughing-Face-Meme

A guy meets a sex worker in a bar. She says, ‘This is your lucky night. I’ve got a special game for you. I’ll do absolutely anything you want for £300 as long as you can say it in three words.’ The guy replies, ‘Hey, why not?’ He pulls his wallet out of his pocket and lays £300 on the bar, and says slowly. ‘Paint…my….house.’

And here I’m listing some of the health benefits of laughing and you ll not be able to stop yourselves from laughing!

1. LOWERS BLOOD PRESSURE

People who lower their blood pressure, even those who start at normal levels, will reduce their risk of stroke and heart attack. So grab the Sunday paper, flip to the funny pages, and enjoy your laughter medicine. laughter-wellness-benefits-emotional-health

2. REDUCES STRESS HORMONE LEVELS

By reducing the level of stress hormones, you’re simultaneously cutting the anxiety and stress that impacts your body. Additionally, the reduction of stress hormones may result in higher immune system performance. Just think: Laughing along as a co-worker tells a funny joke can relieve some of the day’s stress and help you reap the health benefits of laughter. images

3. WORKS YOUR ABS

One of the benefits of laughter is that it can help you tone your abs. When you are laughing, the muscles in your stomach expand and contract, similar to when you intentionally exercise your abs. Meanwhile, the muscles you are not using to laugh are getting an opportunity to relax. Add laughter to your ab routine and make getting a toned tummy more enjoyable.

4. IMPROVES CARDIAC HEALTH

Laughter is a great cardio workout, especially for those who are incapable of doing other physical activity due to injury or illness. It gets your heart pumping and burns a similar amount of calories per hour as walking at a slow to moderate pace. So, laugh your heart into health.

5. BOOSTS T-CELLS

T-cells are specialized immune system cells just waiting in your body for activation. When you laugh, you activate T-cells that immediately begin to help you fight off sickness. Next time you feel a cold coming on, add chuckling to your illness prevention plan. benefitsof-laughing

6. TRIGGERS THE RELEASE OF ENDORPHINS

Endorphins are the body’s natural painkillers. By laughing, you can release endorphins, which can help ease chronic pain and make you feel good all over.

7. PRODUCES A GENERAL SENSE OF WELL-BEING

Laughter can increase your overall sense of well-being. Doctors have found that people who have a positive outlook on life tend to fight diseases better than people who tend to be more negative. So smile, laugh, and live longer!

Now, Here you go with some interesting facts about laughing 68b7c78708051ea8e0a2c43e979c88ea

  •  We laugh up to 30 times more when we are in the company of others than when we are by ourselves. When they say that laughter is contagious, they were really right!
  • Frequent and whole-hearted laughter actually helps your body to fight off harmful diseases. By altering the levels of cortisol in your body, laughing lowers our levels of stress and fights off things that might be harmful to us.images
  •  Laughing is a pretty good workout! When you laugh, you are strengthening muscles in your face, stomach, and diaphragm. It’s no substitute for the gym, but a bit of laughter does do the body good!
  •  Piggy-backing on doing your body good, for every fifteen minutes of solid full-body laughing you do, you can burn up to 40 calories! Dieting? Get to laughing!
  •  Some studies have reported that laughing for at least fifteen minutes can add around 2 days to your overall lifespan. Live long and…laugh!ec184c098f77d58bc457745de9fc243a
  •  Not a coffee drinker? That’s okay! Laughing shortly after you wake up can have similar effects to drinking a cup of coffee. Next time you laugh right after getting up, notice how refreshing it feels.
  •  Humans are not the only beings that laugh. Although less obvious to detect, many animals also experience something similar to laughter. Start watching out for your furry friends – turns out, they might actually be laughing at you after all.
  • In studies that looked at laughter in adults versus children, it was found that kids tend to laugh about three times more than adults. Think like a kid and learn to enjoy yourself a little!
  •  The average person laughs around 13 times a day. Oddly enough, very few of those times are due to a joke or an intentional action. More often, we laugh at chance happenings or things that were never intended to be funny in the first place.
  •  Laughing can create an instant bond between individuals. When you laugh as a group or with someone else, we feel a natural connection to those people and it can alleviate some of the social stress that being around new people might create.
  •  Just as children laugh more than adults, surveys have shown that women tend to laugh slightly more than their male counterparts. Maybe women are really the ones with the senses of humor!488352be6a4ca2f259563441dfb2d95e
  • Studies show that while individuals usually rank “appearance” as very high on their list when looking for a mate, we tend to find individuals who laugh more attractive.
  • Laughter really is contagious. Ever wonder why television shows often play a “laugh track” after a funny moment? Even when we do not see where the source of the laughter is, simply hearing laughter can be contagious.

Being Over-sensitive

I don’t know if its a trend all over the world or its just a case in India, but this certainly is not something very appreciable. People here are becoming extra-patriotic and leave no chance to troll those who has an opinion regarding the country.

Snapchat CEO suddenly got very (in)famous in India over his alleged statement regarding the country. Although it has not yet been proved but even if he said so, there was nothing wrong in that. He is a person and a corporate man  and has full right to express his opinions. So what if he is not ready to expand his business in a country which he thinks is poor and actually is poor! “This app is only for rich people,” Spiegel said,  “I don’t want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain.”

People in mass started trolling him on social networks and too many Indians even uninstalled the app to express their anger over his remark. This protest went too far and Snapchat had to issue several official statements, denying “Poor India” remark.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Something similar happened a few years ago, when Maria Sharapova had to face the wrath of Indian cricket fans given her non familiarity with the Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. She was heavily trolled on Twitter just because she was not knowing about this player of a game which is played in some 10 or 12 countries. And this keeps happening every other day where a celebrity gets heavily trolled for his/her opinions.

People here have become over sensitive and have no ears for any criticism or even a simple fact stating some harsh truth. Wish we could get a little mature and stop paying extra-attention to silly things and work hard for a country prosperous enough to not attract unwanted remarks.

JAI HIND 🙂

Are You A Feminist/Anti-feminist??

Why I’m a feminist…

  • I’m a feminist not because of my views/opinions, only because it feels so cool to poke people over senseless things and no one can speak against me (because you know am a feminist!)
  • I like people to see myself as someone very oppressed and victimized (even though am not) just to play politics and to grab one or two opportunities.
  • I don’t fight for equal rights. I fight for superior rights.
  • I can do whatever I would like to do (no matters its legal or what) because am the flag bearer of feminism and can stop you from enjoying even your basic human rights because you are a man!
  • I can mock and make comment on anybody, anytime because am equal (actually superior) and its my right to express things but you cannot say a thing about any women because its sexist (its not btw!)
  • I will ask for reservations and quotas wherever it is possible to make things easy for me and I guess it wouldn’t be that tough (because FEMINISM is my weapon!)
  • I know I have got equal rights and the world is really not that bad for me but sorry, feminism is my bread and butter and you have no right to snatch that!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Why I’m anti-feminist…

  • I’m an anti feminist because I cannot tolerate women having equal accesses and rights.
  • Strong woman makes me feel insecure and weak
  • Feminists are challenge to my masculinity
  • Ruling over women is my birth right and none of you can change that
  • I do believe, that the women are sent to the world only because they have to serve all the men and am not ashamed of that.
  • I beat and assault women, because its my responsibility to save women from getting out of their limits.
  • I like to live in the world where women are objectified
  • I enjoy the fact that men are preferred in the workplace because women have or might have children in the future
  • I love the way women are portrayed in computer games, comics  and movies.
  •  I would like to respect women but sorry assaulting them is the only way for me to feel superior and privileged!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Why I’m none…

  • I’m neither a feminist nor an anti-feminist because I don’t look up to humans as men or women but as other human.
  • For me the rights of all the human beings should b entertained irrespective of gender or any other bias.
  • The one who is at fault, should get the punishment be it a man or woman.
  • I don’t believe in playing victim for my benefits.
  • I don’t believe that anybody is inferior and thus don’t assault others to prove my point.
  • I Respect you and expect the same.

whats your take on this?

Think this for once..

Sometimes I’m really very curious. Different things keep popping up in my mind and troubles me like hell! what happens after the life ends? Are you actually dead then, or your soul is alive in some other interface??? what if there is no God! and if there is a God, he is none but some alien who is more powerful and controlling humans! When I saw “The Matrix”, I was completely overwhelmed! It gave such an interesting idea which you never know might be true!

If you are a human, rational questions related to your existence keeps coming your way and you kill that question with one argument and then suddenly come up with some other argument killing your last point! Its a very exciting game to play!

Many times I feel that Someone from a superior dimension is playing a super cool (and advanced for obvious reason!) game which is a sort of the game we play on earth like Age OF Empires. We are nothing but the characters of that game and acting just like the farmers of AOE acts! But what if the game is interrupted and he stops playing the game! scary! no?

There is one more theory which comes from the Hindu mythology which says that there is a Super Being which is sleeping and whatever is happening now is nothing but his dream. We are the characters playing in his dream! Don’t tell me what happens if some day he wakes up!

Or may be the Universe is inside the brain of some person, because if you ll see the structure of a brain from inside, it resembles too much like an universe!

There are many more interesting, exciting, scary and super cool theories but as you know they are just some theories which have not been proved and can never be. I don’t think that human would any day advance to a level where it would have all the answers (Being realistic not pessimistic!)

Don’t Escape

You see, motivation is very much needed to continue and grow. You just cannot forever write something, knowing the fact that no one z actually gonna read it. Someone as impatient as me gets bored and demotivated very easily. Today I’m so eager to pen down something and tomorrow I wont actually give a damn! This attitude hasn’t helped anyone and it wont help me either. I know if I’ll get demoralized this soon, I’m never going to get any success (anywhere)! I was reading somewhere, that you have to be constant, efficient as well as very patient if you are seriously willing to have your aim achieved.

Just because you weren’t able to survive a wave which was not very kind to you doesn’t mean that you have to surrender, instead you can make yourself efficient enough to face the other waves coming your way, because problems like waves ll keep coming and no one can actually stop them from coming, however you can make yourself get ready for the problems. Rise and fight against all the obstacles coming your way, even if u loose, you wouldn’t have anything to regret, but surrendering down will leave you with the regrets of not trying!

Writing/Reading/Saying/Listening/Seeing something inspirational is very very easy but Applying is so damn tough! Though am writing this by myself, I don’t know if I would actually be able to apply on these principles even for a day! I think this happens with everyone, when you are so good at rendering ideas and passing smart views/opinions to others, but when it comes to you, you are nothing but the same demotivated person to whom you just gave the mantra of life.Once an Indian superstar Shahrukh Khan said, ‘Don’t become a philosopher before you become rich(or successful)!’

Hats off to all those person who might not have seen an inspirational movie or read an article full of motivations but were able enough to surpass their pettiness, and rose very high, irrespective of what came their way.

Read it somewhere –  Don’t be afraid to start over. Its a brand new opportunity to rebuild what you truly want.

Isn’t this the biggest irony of the world, that the fools have the extra level of confidence, and the one with the intellect mind have a comfort zone limited to their cell!  Anyways Its never ruined, if you are willing to start today!

Also never forget what Swami Vivekanand said, ” Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached!”

Racism and Making America Great Again

Yesterday, an Indian man was killed (and two injured) after this american lad shot him dead at a bar at Kansas (U.S.). This was not some regular attack but purely was a racist one, where this killer yelled “get out of my country” before shooting the victim. It really shook the people back at home in India. This is how India’s foreign minister responded –

screenshot-200

I don’t know if the newly elected POTUS should be blamed for all the recent racist attacks or this racism was always there, but Trump surely has never criticized any single racist attack! Being the president of a country which has a rich heritage of embracing people from all over the world , a responsible behaviour is always expected.

I’m really sorry for the man who attacked the victim, had he known the contribution of India in the US economy, he would never have done this. He and people like him should be aware of  the following facts before yelling again!

As many as 12% scientists and 38% doctors in the US are Indians, and in NASA, 36% or almost 4 out of 10 scientists are Indians.
If that’s not proof enough of Indian scientific and corporate prowess, digest this: 34% employees at Microsoft, 28% at IBM, 17% at Intel and 13% at Xerox are Indians.

With a whopping 29.4 per cent increase, a record high of 132,888 Indian students studying in the US in 2015/16 academic year contributed $3.6 billion to the US economy, (according to a new report).
Imagine a US with no Indians and u ll know! and why only Indians , but everybody else too, who come from all over the world and contribute to the progress of the states, imagine the US without  them and you ll have nothing but regret!

America has made this progress only because of its heritage and power of adaptability and how it has the opportunity for everyone irrespective of color, gender, and nationality. America has always been welcoming and has embraced people from all over the places. No one should forget that the power of America doesn’t lies in its nukes but in its unity! Don’t let anybody ruin that.

Like the Trump says, Lets Make America Great Again! How I wish, Trump knew the meaning of Greatness!

Understanding Shiva

Part I – Shiva Philosophy :

Whenever a common man imagines Shiva, he think of a man (who have a blue throat) with his weapon Trishul (Trident) who must be living at a place called Kailash. Often we forget that the modern image of trinity (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) has already been very polluted and all we do is generalise our God (spcially SHIVA!), we have become so used to these calendar images that no one actually is aware of the full science behind them.

The name Shiva itself means  ‘Nothing’. Shiva is the one who is nothing, he comes from nowhere and goes nowhere, may be the vacuum is Shiva. Shiva has a deep science in to it (or him). Shiva is dark and mysterious and he is very fancy! He is the superhero of all the GODs out there, he is the supreme being and yet out of anybody’s reach. No one in this universe can meet Shiva. You cannot meet it (or him)  but can attain it! Shiva is a state of being. Me, you and everyone out the there is a short of Shiva (millionth part of a point percentage). Every second we are moving forward and becoming a more of the Shiva being. The day you gets to 100 percent, you attain Shiva and becomes him!

The philosophy behind Shiva is very vast, complex and diverse. Everybody has their own idea of Shiva and thus can never be really confined. What does matter is your perception of looking into it. Shiva is “The destroyer” and is complementary to the Brahma “The Creator”. It doesn’t mean that you have to get scared of him. The one who comes must has to go and that is why Shiva destroys to welcome new.

Shiva has always been recognized as the “Adiyogi” i.e, The 1st yogi. He/It is the from of meditation, always still and nothing. Shiva never really took a birth, when you was not there (he always was), when you ll be gone (he always ll be) because he is Shiva!

Part II – Material Shiva :

Shiva is the coolest GOD, you will ever get to know! He travels, smokes weed, has all the powers, attached to nothing and yet loves everybody. He is someone with an innocence as child, Out of all the Hindu Gods, it is easiest to make Shiva happy! If you ll go a thousand years back , you ll be looking at the temples all denoted to Shiva, It was very recent that we started having the temples of other Gods, (the purpose is not the compare but to state the history).

Part III – Shiva and Shakti :

images

SHIVA symbolises consciousness, the masculine principle.
SHAKTI symbolises the feminine principle, the activating power and energy.

Whenever a power becomes active, and wherever energy exists, Shakti is working. Other terms for these primal principles are PURUSHA and PRAKRITI; Purusha is consciousness and Prakriti is nature.

Shiva and Shakti are manifestations of the all-in-one divine consciousness – different sides of the same coin. In many pictures these two primal powers are each depicted as being one half of the same image; one side female and one side male. The left side is the Divine Mother, Pārvatī, the “feminine” energy, and the right side represents Shiva, the “masculine” consciousness.

Only when Shiva and Shakti combine can action, movement and creation arise. Until energy is impregnated with consciousness it is ignorant, disordered, aimless and “blind”. Energy alone can produce nothing; consciousness bestows upon it content, form and direction. Conversely, consciousness without energy is dormant power, sleeping energy, and on its own is unable to be the cause of anything. Just as Prakriti without Purusha is unable to act, and vice versa, Purusha without Prakriti is also incapable of creating anything.

  • Shakti is the motherly love of God that surrounds us with warmth, caring and protection.
  • Shiva is the paternal love of God that gives us consciousness, clarity and knowledge.

(The whole part of Shiva and Shakti has been taken fom the Source: https://www.chakras.net/yoga-principles/22-shiva-and-shakti)

Part IV – Shiva Quotes :

“Fire is His head, the sun and moon His eyes, space His ears, the Vedas His speech, the wind His breath, the universe His heart. From His feet the Earth has originated. Verily, He is the inner self of all beings.”   ― Anonymous, The Upanishads

“When Shiva beats his DAMRU- Evil Shakes !! while the Wise Awakes!”

“Only when you go beyond Mind, will you be able to respect the energy that inhabits us; until then you will either exploit others with your energy or will deplete your energy, leading a purposeless life!”  ― Ramana Pemmaraju

This is the gist of all worship: to be pure and to do good to others. He who sees Shiva in the poor, in the weak, and in the diseased, really worships Shiva. And if he sees Shiva only in the image, his worship is but preliminary. He who has served and helped one poor man seeing Shiva in him, without thinking of his caste or creed or race or anything, with him Shiva is more pleased than with the man who sees Him only in temples  -Swami Vivekananda

Part V – The ultimate Mantra :

ॐ नमः शिवाय (Om namah Shivayya)

What is your idea of Shiva? leave your comments!

When does a women in India finally settles down?

This other day I went to my friend’s house for a house party. There was this uncle, whose daughter used to be my senior back at school, she was a popular and very known student of the school because of her constant excellent performances in academics. I asked uncle about his wellbeing, everything is fine beta (son), its only that my daughter is not settling down with her life. I wondered as I knew that she is very successful and is working in a top firm. Uncle she is already very successfull. no? ya but she has to marry and can finally get settle down with her life. I was wondering again!

Really? I mean the same uncle had two sons and they too weren’t married, but he was not worried about his sons (may be because they still had time and for them works should always be a priority over marriage) . Why does we take this as a normal thing and nobody talks about this! why for a person with same age and status is supposed to have different priority just because they share different gender?? aren’t we very hypocrite? ohh who am asking to? Yes we are!

This thing is so uprooted in our society that even a top journalist(who is supposed to have an intellect mind) like Rajdeep Sardesai doesn’t feel weird in asking sexist  question to a very successfull sportswoman. On air with Sardesai, Sania Mirza (a famous Indian tennis player) was asked about motherhood and settling down and she couldn’t keep her calm for obvious reason, Sania gave a perfect reply to Rajdeep and got an apology. Here is how the conversation happened :

Sardesai: Amidst all the celebrityhood, when is Sania going to settle down? Is it going to be in Dubai? Is it going to be in any other country? What about motherhood… building a family… I don’t see all that in the book, it seems like you don’t want to retire just yet to settle down.

Mirza: You don’t think I’m settled?

Sardesai: You don’t talk about retirement, about raising a family, about motherhood, what’s life beyond tennis is going to be…

Mirza: You sound disappointed that I’m not choosing motherhood over being number one in the world at this point of time. But I’ll answer your question anyway, that’s the question I face all the time as a woman, that all women have to face — the first is marriage and then it’s motherhood. Unfortunately, that’s when we’re settled, and no matter how many Wimbledons we win or number ones in the world we become, we don’t become settled. But eventually it will happen, not right now. And when it does happen I’ll be the first one to tell everybody when I plan to do that.

Sardesai: I must apologise, I framed that question very badly. I promise you, you’re right, I would never ask this question to a male athlete…

Mirza: I’m so glad, you’re the first journalist to apologise to me on national television.

Sania being a strong and successfull lady gave a befitting response (which is very apllausable) but what if the same question was asked to some other girl, how would she have replied?? in the same manner as Sania did? well I don’t think so.

No doubt things have been changing but still we have to go a way ahead.

whats your take on this whole issue?

PS : My friend ‘N Mohan’ wanted me to write on this issue and I would like to thank her for making me think about the matter. thanks ! 🙂

Neighbours in space!!

Don’t know if its exciting or scary for you but this is really cool. National Aeronautics and Space Administration on 22nd feb, wednesday had a major announcement to make and it came out as a real cool news! NASA along with its partner all around the worlds has found a solar system with 7 earth alike planets revolving around a small star (Trappist1) just 39 light years away! As per Michael Gillon, the lead author of the ‘Nature Paper’ announcing the discovery, “it would be the first time that so many planets with as similar feature as earth has been found in a single solar system”. Not only this, three among these seven planets are at the star habitable zone, that means that its most  likely that these planets would have the existence of water on their surface. One of them has a mass indicating a water rich composition. the distance at which these planets orbits the star can be compared with the Jupitar and its moons.  Also, these planets lies at the zone where their temprature is estimated to be in between zero to hundred degree C.

These worlds have sizes and temperatures similar to those of Venus and Earth and are the best targets found so far for the search for life outside the Solar System. They are the first planets ever discovered around such a tiny and dim star.

Right now, the astronomers are beginning to study the planets’ atmospheres with the telescopes they have. And from these observations, they feel fairly confident that the worlds are rocky. “For detailed characterization, we will need James Webb,” Triaud said.

“With this discovery we’ve made a giant, accelerated leap forward in our search for habitable worlds and life on other worlds potentially,” Sara Seager, a leading exoplanet expert at MIT, said during the announcement. This one star system, she said, gives astronomers many chances to look for life, and refine their understanding of exoplanets in small-star systems.

Today Google’s doodle  recognized the event too.

WE always has assumed about the life over other planets but this time its indeed a huge discovery.

As NASA associate administrator Thomas Zurbuchen said, “Finding another Earth-like planet isn’t a matter of if but when.”
